Collington Capital brings grantors and donors together with investors and impact-led enterprises. It works globally with ambitious and aligned partners. Its aim is to create long-term relationships, built on its values, that cut across the silos that limit innovation.

The ability to work across the group’s three entities reflects, in microcosm, the way different sectors as a whole need to work together to move blended finance into the mainstream.

Collington Capital values deep, aligned partnerships across the impact investing ecosystem, building communities of practice, sharing learning and research, and collaborating to achieve a shared vision.

Collington Capital looks forward to welcoming others from financial services and the social sector with a similar commitment to creating a world in which capital markets drive social impact.

Collington Capital builds partnerships and connections across the impact investment chain:

Collington Capital works with grantors and donors to identify and advise them on opportunities, aligned with their impact goals, to move beyond grant making to impact investment, thereby scaling their impact (“Impact Advisory”). It also partners with grantors and donors to conceive, develop and launch pioneering blended finance impact investment propositions which enable philanthropic funding to catalyse concessionary and commercial investment capital into impact-led enterprises, thereby increasing the impact of the philanthropic funding (“Impact Solutions”).

Collington Capital helps impact investors and their wealth managers deploy capital optimally by identifying credible investment opportunities which match their investment strategy and positioning on the spectrum of impact investment, ranging from ‘finance first’ investors seeking a market-rate return, to ‘impact first’ investors prepared to accept a concessionary return (”Scaling Impact” and “Fund Placement” and “Impact Solutions”).

Collington Capital raises commercial and concessionary capital for impact fund managers. It builds long-term relationships with a select group of emerging and established impact fund managers across a range of strategies. It advises on designing, structuring and marketing the impact aspects of new funds (“Fund Placement”). It also advises fund managers on strategies for integrating impact investment into their product offering and on developing and managing impact reporting (“Impact Advisory”).

Collington Capital enables impact-led enterprises to access new sources of impact capital, often from a combination of philanthropic funding and impact investment. The work involves building their impact investment readiness, creating financial and impact models and developing blueprints for deliverable and compelling high-level impact investment propositions. Collington Capital market-tests and then refines these blended finance structures. The group raises grant funding and investment capital often transforming the funding models of the impact-led enterprises. (“Scaling Impact”).
