Julia Grant

Founder Partner, Collington Capital

Julia Grant is a Founder Partner at Collington Capital with extensive experience in social impact investing. She has held leadership positions at Pro Bono Economics, Impetus, and other organizations. Julia also worked in rural Zambia with women’s groups and has advised on social investment globally. She holds an MBA from the London Business School and a PPE degree from Oxford. Her motivation is to help impact-led enterprises access capital and to promote social justice and sustainability.


Julia is a Founder Partner of Collington Capital. She is a highly experienced non-executive Director and Chief Executive of leading social impact investment organisations, with a track record of developing and implementing successful business and investment strategies in UK, global and emerging market contexts.  

Julia is a Trustee of the global education charity, the Education Development Trust, and a non-executive member of the Audit Risk and Assurance Committee of the Rural Payments Agency. Julia is the former Chief Executive of Pro Bono Economics,  Impetus the Private Equity Foundation, the National Gardens Scheme and Surrey Community Action.

Julia has also held other government appointments including Forestry Commissioner and non-executive member of the Investment Committee of the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office. Previously Julia was a member of the Advisory Board of Big Society Capital, the G8 2013 Task Force on Impact Investment and the Impact Investment Committee of the British Venture Capital Association.

On graduating, Julia joined Barclays International Bank before moving on to become a consultant with AT Kearney, Deloitte and PwC. Later Julia worked in rural Zambia with women’s groups on health, financial planning and business start-ups. Julia read PPE at St Hilda’s College, Oxford and was later awarded an MBA by the London Business School.


Julia’s 15 years of experience of supporting non-profits and promising social programmes to scale and increase their impact, has led her to have a clear appreciation of the challenges impact-led enterprises face in understanding and accessing capital markets. Julia is excited by the opportunity to deploy that experience and help increase the footprint of impact investment to tackle global issues related to social justice and sustainability.

Olivia Dickson

Olivia’s background is in financial services and social impact. She was a Managing Director at JP Morgan and financial services NED including for Virgin Money, Investec, Aon, Canada Life and Royal London. Olivia is a Board member of the Impact Investing Institute.

Kiron Bose

Founder Partner, Collington Capital

Kiron has expertise in capital markets, fund management and entrepreneurship particularly in Asia and emerging and frontier markets. He worked at Goldman Sachs in London and Hong Kong, raised capital from investors globally, managed investment funds and co-founded a business in Southeast Asia.

Marina Blinova

Chief Operating Officer, Collington Capital

Marina is an experienced legal counsel with deep knowledge of securities and investments and experience of wealth management. Previously Marina led oversight of the investments of a substantial family office. Marina now specialises in UK financial services corporate governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.

Sarah Gordon

Principal Consultant, Harriet Collington Foundation

Sarah is a Visiting Professor in Practice at the London School of Economics’ Grantham Research Institute and a non-executive Director of Social Finance. Sarah was the founding chief executive of the Impact Investing Institute and was a journalist at the Financial Times for nearly 20 years including as Business Editor.

Deborah Drake

Senior Advisor, Collington Capital

Deborah has expertise in microfinance and impact investing in developing markets notably in Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America. She was a Vice President of Investor Engagement and Research at Accion’s Center for Financial Inclusion and is a Director of Accion’s Financial Inclusion Equity Council.
